About Us
Why Galloways?
We started raising the Galloway breed in 2013 here at Forestdale Ranch. Since we raise them year round at 9400 ft. we wanted animals that would be able to thrive at our altitude. They are thriving here and we have been able to sell both breeding stock and beef to local consumers. Grass fed and finished is the way we raise them and they exhibit natural marbling and excellent taste!
Happy & Healthy Bloodline
We started our herd with a small group of girls with a variety of lineage. All have surpassed our expectations. In 2020, we were able to share a bull that was raised here with another rancher. Before departing to his new home, he blessed us with 8 healthy ranch family members.
We added a new bull to the herd in November 2020, Platinum, who now has 13 calves to call his own of which 10 were girls! Birth weights have ranged from 57 - 70 lbs. Perfect for our heifers who calved without issue.

Breeding Stock
Our Galloways have surpassed expectations with their health, calving, and thriving on 25% less feed than other breeds. We sell cows, calves (bull & heifer), and pregnant cows/heifers.
